The small islands known as the “Koufonisia” (The hollow islands) are a small group of islands located in the eastern side of the small Cyclades, towards the South East side of Naxos Island and Amorgos Island. The group of islands consists of upper Koufonisi, lower Koufonisi, and the mysterious and beautiful island of Keros, which is located in between them, separated just by a narrow passage of some 200 meters with several rocky islet outcrops in between.
